Description of IDVI254MS - 4G 4x250W 1W, 2W or Multi-way Remote/Touch Dimension Screwless Polished Brass

This ® Touch and Remote Dimmer Switch uses the latest Trailing Edge Technology providing many more functions than any other dimmerswitch.



Like all our products the Touch/Remote Dimmers are designed to meet the latest European Safety Legislation.



As the name suggests you can either dim these products by touch or alternatively using a remote control.



It would be sensible to buy a 8-channel remote controller (product code: yrc8) if dimming more than 1 Remote in a room to avoid confusion of buttons; Alternatively you can program almost all TV, Video, Sky etc, remote controls to work these dimmer switches To do this choose a button that is unused (or performs no function) then follow the instructions given in the leaflet provided with the dimmer.



Like all our Touch/Remotes, they are suitable for 1-way circuits only, unless they are used in combination with 1 or more of our touch control Dimming Slaves which enables you to dim the same lights from 2 or more switch locations in a 2-way or multi-way circuit.



The touch/Remote Dimmer can be used for mains incandescent GLS lamps (standard mains light bulbs), maximum load as specified on dimmer. It can also dim GU10 or similar Hi Spot Mains Halogen lamps (only use quality UK supplied lamps) maximum load as specified on dimmer. By using Touch/Remote dimmers there is a zero risk of damage in case of lamp failure and a dramatically improved lamp life.



If you are using the dimmer with quality low voltage transformers such as ® low voltage transformers (product codes: yt50l, yt70L, yt105, yt150, yt250) or other electronic low voltage transformers, you can control them up to maximum load as specified on the dimmer.



Please note Touch/Remotes do not dim wire-wound low voltage transformers, choose the Intelligent Dimmer (IQ Dimmer) or alternatively look at the 630 Watt Low Voltage Standard Dimmer to dim this type of transformer.



The Touch/Remotes also do not dim fans and inductive loads, choose the Intelligent Dimmer (IQ Dimmer) or look at Fan Regulators for these awkward loads, [please check with manufacturer that appliance is dimmable].
