We all know the benefits of energy saving light bulbs, reducing your carbon footprint and saving money.  But until now there has been a massive problem that they cannot be effectively dimmed like conventional light bulbs to create ambient, relaxed lighting.

The Varilight Dimmable Energy Saving Light Bulb solves these problems, it dims smoothly from 3 - 100%.  The bulb is equivalent to a 100 watt bulb at full brightness but only uses 20 watts, even less power is used when dimmed.  The estimated money saving is £100 per bulb over the life of the bulb, with 500kg less carbon emissions.

The Varilight Switch Dimmable Energy Saving Bulb works with any standard on/off light switch and requires no rewiring.  The bulb is dimmed by switching it off and back on again, which starts the bulb dimming up and down, you then choose the level you like by switching it off and back on again.  The bulb will remember the level it was left at until this process is repeated so you can set the level of lighting you like in your room.  These bulbs are perfect if you would like a dimming facility but cannot re-wire, for expample in a bedside light, standard lamp or in a rented property.
